HSKS Kerfing Saw
This machine offers a high-production alternative for machining-saw kerfs in the bottom of engineered flooring. It permits easy integration into existing production lines to eliminate labor and a variety of handling problems.
Application
The HSKS is an automatic high-speed kerfing saw for engineered wood flooring up to 50″ long x 2-1/4″-6″ wide with a thickness of 3/8″-3/4″. It is also called a striating machine for other special applications.
Features
- Approximate weight: 5,500 pounds
- Overall dimensions: 73″ wide x 77″ deep x 80″ high
- High output rates of 60 pieces per minute
Saw Arbor
- The standard machine arbor is powered by a 50 HP 3450 RPM direct-coupled TEFC motor
- The arbor bearings and motor are arranged on a heavy and rigid fabricated yoke
- The arbor yoke adjusts up and down via Joyce Jacks and an 1/2 HP-powered traverse and/or hand crank for quick changes and setup of saw sleeves
- A removable interlocked outboard bearing assembly provides support at the end of the arbor and facilitates quick changes of the saw sleeves
