BULLETIN: Hasko SR-Series Gang Rip Saws

Are you facing an ever-increasing percentage of narrow lumber? Are you experiencing production stoppages while waiting for ripped material? Are you paying expensive overtime to run your rip lines? Is jamming and downtime becoming more prevalent? Are you operating two or more rip lines and need to rip over 40,000+ ft/shift?

We are happy to announce that "It is no longer necessary to run a whole gang of gangs in order to get the job done." Our new Hasko SR-Series gang rips will out-produce any two of the common 24" dip chain varieties. This will save you labor and floor space and reduce your per unit ripping costs.

It is designed for operations requiring high-volume ripping of material to be fed into a moulder, matcher, or any other fixed arbor application, such as flooring, mouldings, frame stock, stacking sticks, dimension, and other similar products.

One customer who manufactures truck flooring has been running an SR-24 for over seven years now--two continuous shifts per day--with no downtime other than some adjustment at start-up. He reports consistent 2-shift production totals of 50,000 to 60,000 board feet per day, in spite of working with the poorest-manufactured hardwood lumber that one can imagine.

Another customer has replaced four of the common 24" dip chain machines with only two of the Hasko SR-24’s. The savings in labor alone have made this a quick pay back.

Of key importance to maintaining this high level of production is the ability to feed a wide array of poorly manufactured lumber when necessary. This saw is almost impossible to jam! On the rare occasion that this happens, our exclusive Quick-Clear™ feature enables the operator to stop--clear the jam--reset--and be up and running in less than a minute!

Typically it is used for straight line ripping, however, if specified at the time of order, it can be pre-set to curve saw. Optimizing infeed tables and complete ripping systems are also available for each model.

We have designed this ripsaw to be very maintenance friendly…using as many off-the-shelf components as possible. For example, there are only 3 common bearing sizes on the whole machine.

There are no expensive drive components to wear out (such as dip chains, sprockets, gears, etc.). We use powerful 8" diameter chromed & knurled feed rolls, each equipped with a separate hydraulic motor and provided with pneumatic tension on the upper rolls.

As a BONUS feature, you will find that the SR-Series is easy to run and impressive to watch! It is powerful, yet surprisingly quiet. We feel that the blend of ruggedness, simplicity, and high speed will fill a great void in many applications, and we look forward to discussing your requirement.
